WAYCROSS — Mr. Wayne Aldridge, 77, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at his residence following a short illness.

Aldridge was born in Waycross to the late Foster Aldridge and Gussie Crews Aldridge. He was a mechanic at Varn Wood Products in Hoboken. He also served in the United State Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an avid race fan.

In addition to his parents, Aldridge was also preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Aldridge of Waycross; two daughters, Sandi Corbitt and Gloria Grant both of Waycross; two grandchildren, Scott Waters (Summer Johnson) and Kristin Aldridge both of Waycross; three great-grandchildren, Allie Johnson, Abigail Johnson, and Ava Johnson; a brother, Earl Aldridge of Bainbridge; three sisters, Alice Jolley of Alma, Jeanette Crews of Waycross, and Patsy Aldridge of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery.

The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening, May 24 at Music Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
